الطيطوى الأدكن (الرهيز) وهو من أكثر الطيور الخواضة انتشاراً حيث يفرخ في الشمال القطبي، والجزء الشمالي الغربي للجزر البريطانية، وأيسلندا، والشواطئ الشمالية للدول الاسكندنافية، والدانمارك وشواطئ روسيا. ويتواجد شتاءً على سواحل المحيط الأطلسي وشمالي غربي أفريقيا وكذلك على جميع شواطئ البحر الأبيض المتوسط، وكذلك وادي النيل وجنوب العراق لغاية الكويت وسواحل الخليج العربي.

وفي هجرته يتواجد عند المستنقعات والبحيرات الضحلة والأنهار وعلى شواطئ البحار الرملية.

The Dunlin is a widely distributed wader it breeds in northern Europe, and winters south  throughout the Mediterranean, the Nile Valley and southern Iraq, Kuwait and the Coasts of the Arabian Gulf.

Its habitat include tundra with bogs during breeding and pools in the north and on upland moors, damp grassland and marshes further south. In winter it is found on sandy shores, mudflats and estuaries, coastal grassland and fresh and brackish marshes.
