دخلة الزيتون (المطرق) من الطيور صغيرة الحجم إذ يبلغ طولها 13 سم وهي تتشابه مع دخلة الوديان (مطرق الحشيش) لكنها أصغر حجماً ولون الأجزاء العليا من الجسم غالباً ما تكون بنية زيتونية بالمقارنة دخلة الوديان التي غالباً ما يكون لونها رمادي داكن. وتتميز بتحريك ذيلها للأسفل والأعلى بينما تحرك دخلة الوديان ذيلها بشكل دائري.

ومناطق تفريخها صيفاً هي الكويت والعراق وإيران وتركيا ودول المغرب العربي ومصر وفلسطين والأردن وسوريا ولبنان واليونان وبلغاريا ورومانيا و وصربيا والبوسنة والهرسك ومقدونيا وألبانيا وجورجيا وأرمينيا وأذربيجان. وتقضي الشتاء في أواسط وشرق أفريقيا.

The Olivaceous Warbler is a small bird with an average total length of 13 cm, there is some difficulty in separating it from the larger greyer above Upcher's Warbler, but in general Olivaceous has more obvious brownish or olive tinge to the upperparts, but many individuals look just as grey as Upcher's. Upcher's tail is often waved up and down, from side to side or in circles while the Olivaceous fliks its tail up and down only.

The Olivaceous Warbler breeds in Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Greece, Cyprus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria and Northern Africa. It winters in south of Sahara and Eastern Africa.
